This is a super simple but extremely effective tip. Pay with cash all the time. Groceries, household, home repair, entertainment, eating out, etc. Determine your monthly budget - cut it back from whatever you have been spending. Put all the cash for each category in a jar. Pay only with the cash from the jar. For some reason, having to bring the jar and seeing the money go out makes people spend less.
